The Effect of Interpersonal Relationship Improvement Program on Self-esteem, Depression, Communicative Competence and Interpersonal Relationship Ability of Nursing Students

Abstract

|
Purpose: The purpose of this study is to identify the effect of interpersonal relationship improvement program on self-esteem, depression, communicative competence and interpersonal relationship ability of nursing students.
Methods: The subject of this study was 9 nursing students at college of nursing, Busan, South Korea. The self-directed self-esteem, depression, communicative competence and interpersonal relationship ability of nursing students before and after the program were evaluated using the structured survey.
Results: As a result of the study, the communicative competence and interpersonal relationship ability were significantly improved.
Conclusion: Therefore, interpersonal relationship improvement program can be actively utilized as a useful intervention program for nursing students.
